Ujkan BAJRA

Ujkan Bajra is a Doctor of Science in Economics and Business, which he completed at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana. He has a rich scientific activity covering economic and business issues. He is the founder and senior researcher at IERLS and a professor at the University of Pristina. In addition to educational and scientific activity, he is also an expert in public finance management and corporate governance in general. He is a certified public sector auditor. He has over 18 years of work experience, in senior position, both in higher education and in the state institution, while in private sector he provides professional consultancy. For almost a term, he was the chairman of the governing council of the University of Pristina and a member of the governing council of the "Haxhi Zeka" University of Peja.

Field of interest

Economics Economic growth/development (growth models, statistical and mathematical models), problems with migration and remittances, foreign direct investment, privatization of socially owned and public-owned enterprises, government policies (i.e., public debt, import / export, fiscal policy, etc.).

Business Corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, quality of financial reporting, financial markets and crypto currencies, effects of regulatory policies (e.g., effect of IFRSs, SOX, EU Directives - Company Law Directive, etc.), market research, business plans and related consultancy (business and finance).

Higher education development of governance models of higher education, research methodology, connection of education with the labor market, research projects, etc.

Florin ALIU

Florin Aliu is a Doctor of Science in Finance, which he completed at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic. He also completed his master's studies at Masaryk University, in the field of financial management. He is currently pursuing post-doctoral studies at the European Scientific Institute (EIS) in the field of company valuation. In terms of teaching activities, more than seven years of experience as a lecturer of financial markets, research methodology and corporate finance. 

Field of interest

Valuation of private and public companies, market efficiency of equity markets, crypto currency price behavior, portfolio diversification issues. 

Ardit GJEÇI

Ardit Gjeçi is a lecturer at the University of New York Tirana (UNYT). He is a Doctor of Science in Money and Finance from the School of Economics and Business, Ljubljana, Slovenia. He enhanced his career background by participating on international conferences in the field of banking and finance where he presented his scientific papers. His articles have been published in several international scientific journals, including Risk Management and Economics and Business Review (EBR). He also serves as a reviewer for several international journals.

He was working as a Senior Data Analyst/Quantitative Credit Risk at CREDINS Bank, one of the largest banks in the Albanian banking system. He was responsible for developing, reviewing, and enhancing internal credit risk models and methodologies used for different purposes within the Bank, including developing bank stress tests and regulatory and economic capital calculations.

Well-versed in programming language of Python, STATA, SPSS, Orange, J-Multi, and E-Views, advanced in Microsoft Office. Strong background in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.

His research interests encompass applied econometrics, risk management, credit rating, credit and market risk modelling, and scoring models

Isuf JAHMURATAJ

Isuf Jahmurataj is a Doctor of Science on Law, which he obtained at the South East European University, North Macedonia. He is a regular participant in many conferences and seminars where he presents scientific papers from an academic and professional perspective in the field of justice, namely in the field of legislation, civil, commercial and commercial law. Professionally, he has more than ten years of extensive experience in drafting policies and legislation in the field of justice, as well as in monitoring the implementation of legislation. He was the leader of the working group for the drafting of the Civil Code of Kosovo and now he leads the working group for the drafting of the Code of Civil Procedure.

In addition, he has completed the bar exam, as well as the exams for notary, private bailiff, bankruptcy administrator and licensed mediator. He is a lecturer and trainer in the field of law at many conferences and trainings covering topics of law, legislation, human rights, mediation and other areas.
